Signs your brakes need checking

• A high-pitched squeal when braking: the pad wear indicator is deliberately rubbing the rotor.
• A metallic grinding: the pads are gone and the metal backing is cutting the rotor. That becomes a rotor job.
• A spongy pedal or one that sinks lower than before: air or a leak in the circuit. Get it seen without waiting.
• A vibrating steering wheel under braking: warped rotors.
• The car pulling to one side when braking: a seizing caliper, common at the rear after our salted winters.

Why zinc in Montreal
